Patrick Doyle is a classically trained composer. He is a graduate and Fellow of The Royal Scottish Acedemy of Music and Drama.
Patrick has composed the scores for a host of internationally successful films such as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Sense and Sensibility, Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, Indochine, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Nanny McPhee, Carlito’s Way, A Little Princess, Calendar Girls, Donnie Brasco, Eragon and Gosford Park amongst many others. He has worked with such acclaimed directors as Kenneth Branagh, Brian De Palma, Robert Altman, Ang Lee, Alfonso Cuaron, Regis Wargnier and Mike Newell.
Some of the many accolades Patrick has received include Bafta and Oscar Nominations for Sense and Sensibility and Hamlet. Two Cesar’s for Indochine and Est-Ouest, two Golden Globe nomination for Dead Again and Sense and Sensibility and the Ivor Novello Award for Henry V.
In October 2007 Patrick Doyle's Music from the Movies, a concert on behalf of The Leukaemia Research Fund was staged at The Royal Albert Hall. It was Directed by Kenneth Branagh and starred a host of illustrious names such as: Emma Thompson, Sir Derek Jacobi, Dame Judi Dench, Alan Rickman, Imelda Staunton, Celia Imrie, Robbie Coltrane, Greg Wise, Adrian Lester, Beth Neilsen Chapman, Mike Newell and Regis Wargnier.
